Formula for Perfection: Physician's Formula Shimmer Strips

American brand Physician's Formula has been around a long time and is known for the innovation and effectiveness of its products but it is only now arriving on Irish shores to much excitement in the beauty world! I tried the brands Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Eyeliner Trio to see what all the fuss was about!

Physician's Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Eyeliner Trio come in three ranges of to enhance every eye colour so they are available in different sets for brown, green and blue eyes. Matching eyeliner and eye shadows to complement your eye colour is an important lesson to learn and you could be surprised with what colours enhance your eyes. I have both green and brown eyes so some colours make the green pop while others make my eyes look simply brown. The collection I'm reviewing here is made for brown eyes so contains brown itself, black and purple (which is actually a surprisingly good shade for both brown and green eyes).

There was a clear winner for me within this bunch; the black is so potent and highly pigmented and glides on so well I absolutely loved it. The stack of three pots can be divided and popped into your bag separately if you're heading out and using one particular colour.

A very pleasant surprise was the quality of the brush that comes with the pack which allows you to apply as thick or thin a line as you'd like. When I tried these three the thick line worked so well with the black and gave for quite a dramatic look.

The thick line didn't work as well with the other two shades, so a thinner line is advisable with those since the colour isn't as dense and becomes slightly see through. To counter this I'd also advise using a powder base on your eyes before applying these to get the most out of these colours and allowing the first layer to dry before adding a second or third layer for extra definition and pop with the brown and purple pots.

I absolutely loved the black pot in particular I must say; it has great lasting power and can be used for the finest to the thickest lines. It's such a high quality gel liner and my first time using a brush and pot and it made it so easy and controllable to experiment with whatever type of line I wanted. The brush is such a draw with this product and is such great quality and very easy to use for newbies like myself!
