Penneys From Heaven

Penneys has always been a great go-to for pretty unbelievably priced clothes, especially when you're low on funds or need some socks! But in the past year or so I've noticed their cosmetic section broaden brand by brand, all at really reasonable prices, so I decided to do a little recon to find out the best beauty products Penneys has to offer, to get the best value for your... pennies.

I've always been a little dubious about Penneys' own brand cosmetics, an instinct that has often pulled me back from ever putting an eye shadow on my eyes that cost €1.50. Though when I was a teenager it would have made makeup so accessible and affordable and, I'd imagine, therein lies the target market for their own brand products. And that's certainly not a bad thing. There was no Penneys where I grew up so I got the next best thing - in the euro store type of place! You have to start somewhere...

In the Sticks: No7, Topshop, Revlon and Essence

Gone are the days when eyeliner and lipliner were the only sticks in your makeup mag. A new, very welcome trend, has arrived where you can get your blush and real lip sticks in a chubby stick/crayon format and it's given make up application a lot more control - and your handbag a bit more space!
