AGenius Move: Alexa Chung X AG Jeans

Collaborating with a very popular fashion icon such as Alexa Chung is always a smart move for any fashion company or cosmetic brand but, as we have seen with many lines she has been involved with, the stylish Brit doesn't just bring her name to the brand, she brings her own very unique and on-point style and this latest lines for AG Jeans is possibly the best example of this so far. Here's a look at the best of Alexa Chung For AG.

When you think about it, a jeans company collaborating with Alexa Chung for a line of clothing makes so much sense. The fashion muse is rarely seen without a pair of denim shorts during the summer months to showcase her modelesque legs and she keepS skinny jeans both in fashion and in business for the rest of the year by sticking by a trend that has lasted a surprising duration, given fashion's fickle form. And thank goodness for that I say!

Chung has often been asked about designing her own line of clothes and it seems like a natural move for her but a collaboration like this is rather a perfect introduction to what an Alexa Chung clothing line might be like - under the confines of denim of course - and I have to say I'm pretty surprised and impressed by the result of this collaboration.

The line features a lot of basic denim cut in a most stylish way. The shapes are feminine and flattering and the whole collection is very fresh for a material that has been a staple in every person's wardrobe for decades. What Chung has done here gives denim a stylish and very appealing edge. The highlight of the collection for me has to be The Pixie dress, named after Chung's best pal Pixie Geldof but The Tennessee (named after another close friend Tennessee Thomas) dungarees come in a close second. If I could they'd all be wardrobe staples for me and the beauty of the line is that denim never goes out of fashion so everything in this collection can be worn for a long time to come. Here's my top five picks from the whole collection. Clicking on the images below leads you straight to the brand page of each particular item.
